Sophie has the great misfortune of being the eldest of three daughters, destined to fail miserably should she ever leave home to seek her fate. Le roman qui a inspiré le fantastique film de Hayao Miyazaki, Le château ambulant. Je l'ai lu en VO, en anglais, assez pratique en version Kindle, qui intègre un dictionnaire pour aller chercher les mots que l'on ne connaît pas. La lecture de ce livre m'a ramenée à l'imaginaire visuel des films d'animation japonais, pour lesquels j'ai beaucoup de tendresse. J'ai adoré cet univers différent que nous décrit l'autrice, ses personnages, et leur manière subtile de s'intégrer dans notre monde sans en avoir l'air. J'ai aussi vu qu'elle a écrit deux autres romans avec les mêmes personnages, et je me ferai un plaisir de les lire quand j'aurai un peu de temps : Castle in the air et House of many ways.
